“As we observe children, we see the vitality of their spirit, the maximum effort put forth in all they do, the intuition, attention and focus they bring to all life’s events, and the sheer joy they experience in living.” - Maria Montessori
I believe that children are capable, open-minded, and influential.
Often it can be easy to assume that because children are young and have less experience in this world, they are less capable than adults. However, I believe that children are just as capable, if not more, because they have such creative minds. Not only do children have the sheer joy for life, as noted by Maria Montessori, they also have incredibly open minds. Children have not yet been exposed to the stereotypes and negativity that often exists in our world today. They have the ability to question things and wonder. Children have ideas that might never be considered by adults, but those are the ideas that will influence our next generation and the generations to come.
